Randy is one of the true Colorado natives having been born and raised primarily in Boulder. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and a teaching certification for secondary science. Randall then went on to obtain his PA degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Randy moved to Yakima, Washington for four years after school where he worked in family medicine for the Indian Health Service. He relocated back to Evergreen in 1993, and continued to work in the mountain community ever since.
Prior to his advanced education, Randy competed on the national level in freestyle skiing and road bike racing. Fitness and health are his main outlets, including spending time with family, fishing, rock climbing, martial arts, and cycling.
Randy loves all aspects of family medicine and urgent care. Getting to know patients over time aids in treating and helping them with their health issues. He particularly enjoys treating sports-related injuries and has also often helped people with their bicycle fitting and running biomechanics. Randall believes that information and knowledge are the keys to health: “If I can assist in this area, my patients are more aware of their problems and motivated in helping themselves overcome their own issues.”
Randy has 2 children, Cooper and Chloe.
