Laura earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Concordia University in Illinois and Master of Science in Nursing from Regis University in Denver. After working at the famed Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL she took a backpacking trip west and found her new home in Colorado.
She has been living in Evergreen since 1993. She believes in being active in her community. She has volunteered on the Evergreen Fire Department, provides medical support for the Courage Classic, an annual bike tour that benefits Children’s Hospital and volunteers for various school projects. She has worked in the Emergency Department and for Flight for Life for many years.
Laura enjoys the long term relationships that accompany Family Medicine. She believes that the relationship between a patient and provider is collaborative. She wants to empower her patients to be active participants in their medical care. She looks forward to working in the community in which she lives to keep people healthy and to thrive.
When she is not in the office, she is enjoying the wonderful outdoor life of Colorado with her husband and son. There is no end to the adventures to be had. When she can slip away, she can be found trail running, for its simplicity and beauty. She enjoys a challenge particularly that of a good endurance run or cross country ski!
