In January 2007, Kristi joined the health care team at Arapahoe Peak Health Center. Dr. Gonzales is a board-certified family practice physician who specializes in women’s health and preventive medicine. She spent three years enjoying her practice in Idaho Springs, Colorado before joining the practice in Evergreen, where she makes her home with her husband and son’s, Ben and Mason.
Prior to moving to Colorado, Dr. Gonzales worked at a large HMO in Olympia, Washington for three years. She excelled at achieving a high level of patient satisfaction, and her patients chose her for service awards two years in a row. Dr. Gonzales prefers working in a small private practice where she can spend more time with her patients and form long-lasting doctor-patient relationships. Dr. Gonzales is from a rural area in Eastern Washington, so she is quite content living here in the small mountain community of Evergreen where she can enjoy hiking, camping, photography, and both downhill and cross-country skiing.
Dr. Gonzales graduated from medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle. She chose Family Practice because she enjoys caring for patients of all ages with a wide variety of health care issues, yet she is particularly interested in providing health care for women.
Dr. Gonzales avidly believes the doctor-patient relationship should be a respectful partnership where patients are empowered to achieve and maintain good health. She strives to deliver high quality, compassionate patient care, and prides herself in being a patient advocate. “I make sure my patients receive the same quality of care I would expect for myself and my family.”
